In collaboration with our funding partners, we administer fellowships and research grants that lead to the innovation and evaluation of new policy tools, convene experts to map new tool-building agendas, produce online knowledge platforms and expert reports that catalog existing evidence-based policy tools, and support mentoring programs that broaden tool-building opportunities.

How we work
Explore Our History
Effectively addressing the challenges facing our societies will require not only technological tools but also policy tools: interventions that coordinate socially beneficial decisions and actions.
For 100 years the Social Science Research Council has provided our funding partners with access to the social and behavioral scientists who are building and testing the policy tools that can meet our most pressing needs.
Access to tools
In our work we mobilize our extensive global network of over 250,000 researchers in the Council’s seven founding disciplinary associations, faculty and institutional leaders from member institutions in the College and University Fund for the Social Sciences, and our many funding partners.
