The SSRC was created in 1923 by seven disciplinary associations committed to advancing social knowledge. Today, that founding collaboration is joined by associations worldwide that broaden participation and strengthen inquiry across regions and disciplines.
Frontiers in Social and Behavioral Science features new research in the flagship journals of the Social Science Research Council’s founding disciplinary associations. Every month we publish a new selection of articles from the most recent issues of these journals, marking the rapid advance of the frontiers of social and behavioral science.
The SSRC has awarded fellowships and grants to more than 20,000 scholars worldwide—supporting them at pivotal moments and building lasting communities of practice. Through fellowships, grants, and mentorship, our Global Fellows, Grantees & Alumni Network turns evidence into insight for policy, practice, and the public while strengthening universities and research centers.
